Air Traffic Management Services Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to Head of Engineering, ensure that ANS has appropriate technical expertise to support airport engineering operations. This will include the establishment and maintenance of effective supplier and third party contracts for Level 3 maintenance in accordance with CAP670 and SLAs.

Project management of systems and management of engineering changes on behalf of ANS to provide continuity of service within specification, cost and timeframe.

Requirements management including change control.

Support system specification and design of air traffic equipment (ATE).

Support the implementation of ATE equipment and maintenance planning.

Support quality management and lifecycle management.

Evaluate, monitor and report technical observations to the CAA.

Support the Head of Engineering in the development of future concepts, technological roadmaps, systems architecture and implementation portfolios.

Support the Head of Engineering in required tasks associated with the Safety Management System, including safety cases, software assurance and interoperability documentation.


Qualification & Experience

Candidates should have a degree in engineering or recognised qualifications in an electronics-based subject. Alternatively, they could have extensive practical experience within a technical and engineering ATM environment. Specific experience in either navigation, surveillance or communications (including EFPS) is important.

A successful track record in managing systems and equipment into service and in the management of 3rd party suppliers within a safety assured regime. Experience of project and product management is a definite plus. Experience must have been gained within a high-density air traffic control environment.
